Community Accomplishments
1. July 2022 Halkias enhanced civic engagement by expanding public voter registration capabilities within his community. The Borough Council passed Halkias's motion unanimously.
2. May 2023 Zach Halkias creates proposal to legislators for a property-tax incentive program that would help solve parking issues in Slatington and in similar Pennsylvania communities. His proposal received unanimous co-sponsorship from the council and mayor.
3. August 2023 Slatington hosted its first-ever annual National Night Out event, supporting the local police department and furthering Halkias's promise to reignite community involvement.
4. December 2023 Halkias helps pass legislation to assist the local police department in meeting the officer-to-population quota and end the community police shortage.
5. January 2024 Slatington creates the Beautification and Economic Development Committees to further the goals of beautifying our town, maintaining and repairing local infrastructure, creating a more business-friendly environment, and expanding the tax base to lower the individual tax burden.
Conservative Advocacy Experience
1. February 2021 Halkias is appointed to his county's Republican Committee.
2. Fall 2021 Halkias compiled a 25-page research paper and collected nearly 100 petition signatures on college campus in efforts to convince the college board of trustees to remove the COVID-Era campus mask mandate.
3. 2022 Supported our Republican nominees full-time for the 2022 Midterm Election Cycle
4. November-December 2022 Halkias went to Georgia to canvass door-to-door 7 days a week for Georgia's U.S. Senate Nominee for their runoff election.
5. 2023 Halkias actively supported our conservative nominees for our statewide judicial races as well as our nominees for various local races.
6. 2024 Halkias runs for State Representative to bring an America-First conservative to Harrisburg that stands up for our values. Furthermore, you can count on Halkias to actively support our Presidential, Congressional, and Senatorial nominees post-primary, to make sure we elect Republicans that will CLOSE our border, STOP the hyperinflation, END rampant government spending, and PROTECT the livelihoods of our citizens.
